SNACK
POME CRISPS
You can easily snack on a fresh apple, spread with nut butter. But sometimes that apple has been left to soften in the fruit bowl, and no longer has that juicy crunch that was one so inviting. Apple crisps are a tasty answer to reinvigorate that sad, soft apple. During the cooking process they become chewy, the longer you bake them the crispier they become.
Apples are particularly high in pectin, a soluble fibre, which improves digestion and wards off disease – another good reason include “an apple a day!”.
