CONDIMENT
AN UNSWEETENED SOURCE FOR APPLESAUCE
This recipe uses just three simple ingredients and is so much better than anything you can buy on the shelf. All the sweetness comes purely from cooked apples. The apple cider vinegar adds a nice bit of tanginess and is also anti-inflammatory and promotes good gut health.
You can blend this sauce until super smooth or, enjoy as we prefer, mash by hand for a more rustic and chunky texture.

Naked Apple Sauce

- Oven
Ingredients
- 2 Apples
- 2-4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2-4 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2-4 tbsp Hot Water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 140°C.
- Roughly chop apple into small chunks.
- Place in dish with olive oil, cider vinegar and hot water.
- Cook for 45-60 minutes until soft, turning a couple of times.
- Mash to combine.
