This easy recipe is super speedy and jam-packed full of nutrients! Chia seeds have been consumed for thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Mayans where the world chia translates to “strength”. When mixed with a fluid, chia seeds are well-known for forming a magical gel-like consistency. Chia seeds are the highest plant-based source of omega-3 healthy fats, have more antioxidants than blueberries, more potassium than bananas, more iron than spinach and more calcium than cow’s milk! Raspberry Chia Jam
Equipment
- Hob
Ingredients
- 100 g Raspberries frozen
- 5 g Chia Seeds
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice optional
Instructions
- Stew raspberries on the hob slowly for about 5-10 minutes until the fruit has broken down.
- Mix in chia seeds (and lemon juice if using) and simmer for a further 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Store in the fridge.
