BEAT THE COLD ROUTE – HOT BEETROOT SALSA
Red onion, dark beetroot and cayenne pepper combine to form a punchy and vibrant, immune-boosting condiment. Plants which contain a deep, purple coloured hue are known for being rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory.
This relish is sweet, tangy and spicy and an excellent accompaniment to your Summer BBQ spread, great to top any burger.

Red Beet Relish
Equipment
- Hob
Ingredients
- 1 Red Onion
- 1 Beetroot
- 2-3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2-3 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- Slice red onions.
- Slowly caramelise in a saucepan with olive oil for about 5 minutes.
- Grate beetroot.
- Add beetroot to the onions.
- Add apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper.
